DAY 1 Vacation

We are just north of Chattanooga and yesterdays drive was great! Thank you all for praying. I followed my own advice and enjoyed the wonderful creation that God has so gloriously given to us. We had a great start to our vacation and will drive the rest of the way this morning. Here are some quick thoughts that I have loved from following the star. Good stuff and a great prayer to wrap up as we celebrate loving God and loving others today. 'What would Jesus do?' He would enjoy this day for the glory of God!

"Christ has come. Christ is here. Christ will remain. Give yourself over to this One whose coming we continue to celebrate. Know that this same loving Lord stays constant in loving you and leading you, day by day and in these quiet moments."

"Now there was a man in Jerusalem whose name was Simeon; this man was righteous and devout, looking forward to the consolation of Israel, and the Holy Spirit rested on him. It had been revealed to him by the Holy Spirit that he would not see death before he had seen the Lord’s Messiah. Guided by the Spirit, Simeon came into the temple; and when the parents brought in the child Jesus, to do for him what was customary under the law, Simeon took him in his arms and praised God, saying, “Master, now you are dismissing your servant in peace, according to your word; for my eyes have seen your salvation, which you have prepared in the presence of all peoples, a light for revelation to the Gentiles and for glory to your people Israel.” Luke 2:25-32

Great prayer!

Jesus, take off the blinders that block my view of you and your love. Help me to become quick to offer you praise. Expand my vision to recognize the needs far beyond my corner of the world. Amen. and AMEN! LGLO, Pastor Peter
