Epiphany (feeling), the sudden realization or comprehension of the essence or meaning of something
"I am the Lord, that is my name; my glory I give to no other, nor my praise to idols. See, the former things have come to pass, and new things I now declare; before they spring forth, I tell you of them."
Sing to the Lord a new song, his praise from the end of the earth! From Isaiah 42
I have had an epiphany on more than one occasion and I'm sure you have as well. Seeing as today is the celebration of Epiphany or the celebration of the wise men visiting Jesus, I thought it would be worth it to share with you my most recent epiphany. Here it is...make sure you are sitting down...don't have anything breakable near you...ya ready?
IT REALLY IS ALL ABOUT GOD THE FATHER, GOD THE SON and GOD THE HOLY SPIRIT!
I know you almost fell off your seat as you read that epiphany. I did too. Here's the thing. I know it is obvious but as I have studied and prayed. Shared and listened. Studied and prayed again. I have come to this simple conclusion....I am NOT focused enough towards God and it really is ALL about Him. Now comes the difficult question...how do I change that? and still work? and love my family? and love my neighbor?
Here is the great thing...focusing on God as the one and only center of the universe in a passionate pursuit of Him yields wonderful fruit. In loving Him with all that we are we will love others more richly and more truly. That is an awesome blessing of "seeking Him first and all these things being added to you".
