The Story

I thought this was a great reminder for today. I love the story and I know you do too. Have fun today being a part of it. LGLO, Pastor Peter

"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things came into being through him, and without him not one thing came into being. What has come into  being in him was life and the life was the light of all people. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not overcome it." John 1:1-5

I know I'm not the only one. I hate getting to a movie theater after the movie has started. (For me, the movie actually begins with the previews; I want to see what's coming up!) I want the whole story, so missing the first few minutes of a film almost makes it pointless to watch the rest.
Who would read a book by flipping past the first chapter? What parent would want to skip over their baby's infancy and move straight to toddler time?

John tells us that the Word has been there from the beginning, from the very first. God tells the story of the Christ from the start, from creation itself.

It kind of makes me want to stay for the rest of the story, especially the part that happens today. Nick Foster
