I LOVE FLORIDA

It is great to be back!  I LOVE FLORIDA!  I know there is a great deal of need here and that is an important part of why we are here involved with ministry but I have to tell you...I REALLY LOVE BEING HERE!  We drove all day yesterday and then today I spent at a soccer match which I left for at 6:30 a.m. and it was a great day out in the Florida sun cheering for Shelby as she played.  

One of the bonuses of sitting out in the sun and enjoying the beauty of God's creation was to think about a serious of messages that I am going to share throughout 2009.  I am calling the series the "Life Verses" series and it will start sometime in January and go through the end of 2009.  At least I think it will.  That's where I feel like God is leading me at this point but we will prepare, plan and most importantly WAIT on Him and see where He leads. As I was thinking about it one of my favorite texts kept coming up in my mind and I thought I'd share it with you.

"How blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked, Nor stand in the path of sinners, Nor sit in the seat of scoffers ! 2. But his delight is in the law of the LORD, And in His law he meditates day and night. 3. He will be like a tree firmly planted by streams of water, Which yields its fruit in its season And its leaf does not wither ; And in whatever he does, he prospers." Psalm 1:1-3

What do you suppose it would be like if we asked the question 'what would Jesus do?' while we were meditating on His Word day and night?  Do you think the answers would come easier?
